As the tide rose, Nicole’s horse, Astro, became stuck in thick mud, which put him at risk of suffocation and drowning. Despite their best efforts to help him, the situation grew more dire. Rescue teams and a veterinarian arrived on the scene after several hours of struggle.
Even though the rescue efforts were intense, including giving Astro a sedative and trying to use a helicopter, the soft mud proved to be too much of an obstacle.
Just when hope seemed to be fading, a local farmer with a tractor came to the rescue. Working together, they managed to free Astro in the nick of time.
