One of Beyoncé’s Daughters Becomes Youngest Female Artist Ever on Hot 100 Chart, Making History

Rumi Carter, the six-year-old daughter of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Jay-Z Carter, has just made music history!

She’s now the youngest female artist ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This big news means Rumi has beaten the record once held by her older sister, Blue Ivy Carter.

The oldest of the Carter clan previously held the record for her feature on Beyoncé’s track “Brown Skin Girl” in 2019.

Rumi’s big moment came from her part in the song “Protector” on her mom’s newly released album “Cowboy Carter.”

In “Protector,” you can hear Rumi sweetly asking her mom, “Can I hear the lullaby? Please?” This part has made the song very special for many listeners and shows how Beyoncé mixes her family life with her music every once in a while.

However, not everyone thinks it’s a good idea for celebrity kids like Rumi to be in the spotlight at such a young age. “Kids can’t even be kids anymore smh,” expressed one social media user.

Another person chastised, “Let them be kids, parents like this should be ashamed, your kids should not be working like adults, let them play and be a kid.”

Someone else asked, “Wow, can’t these celebrities let their children be kids?” while another person stated, “It doesn’t help kids by giving them an easy path.”
